Job Posting: Calibration Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Calibration Technician to join our team and play a key role in the setup and maintenance of equipment across one of our largest customers based in Indianapolis, IN.
This position requires a solid foundation and oversight of projects in calibration, a deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and the ability to work on both new site setups and ongoing maintenance calibration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support calibration activities for newly installed and existing equipment in compliance with FDA/GMP standards.
- Oversee site setup projects (Greenfield or new facility setups) ensuring timely and efficient calibration processes.
- Perform maintenance calibration for critical equipment across diverse industries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet all quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise for site set-up, particularly with calibration and equipment compliance.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with calibration across multiple industries including Consumer Product Goods, Pharma/Med Device, Nuclear, and Food & Beverage.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering and practical knowledge of GMP.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 and metrology certifications (Metrology Technicians).
- Experience in Greenfield (new) facility setups or post-build technician roles.
- Proficient in ensuring that equipment meets FDA/GMP standards for new installations and ongoing compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on meeting critical timelines.
Required Experience:
- Maintenance calibration experience or having led calibration projects multiple times.
- Previous involvement in new site setups, particularly at the initial stages of installation and calibration.
Education & Certifications:
- ISO 17025 Certification (Metrology Technicians preferred).
- Mechanical Engineering background or similar technical field.
- Experience in presales or serving as a subject matter expert (SME) a plus.
